Selecting Mentors

Ignite Youth selects mentors using a thorough screening process. A potential mentor would have to:

Attend an Orientation/Training meeting

Complete an application

Provide four reference forms

Be fingerprinted for FBI national background check

Receive a call from us to set up an appointment for an interview

Ignite Youth mentors are to be moral people with Christian faith and character who love and care about young people no matter their circumstances or situation. They must be over 18 years old and be able to commit their time for a period of one year.
